About the Role Centurum is seeking a Configuration Management (CM) Specialist II to support Diminished Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) projects for U.S. Navy systems. In this role, you will apply configuration management principles to manage system baselines, mitigate obsolescence issues, and ensure accuracy of technical data and documentation. You will collaborate with engineering, logistics, and procurement teams to provide effective solutions that sustain mission-critical Navy systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Apply configuration management policies and procedures to ensure technical baseline integrity. Monitor Bills of Materials (BOMs) to identify and forecast component, material, and software obsolescence risks. Control and document the engineering change process, including Engineering Change Documentation (ECD). Manage and maintain Configuration Items (CIs) within Navy configuration management databases (e.g., CDMD-OA). Conduct physical and functional configuration audits to ensure system documentation matches as-built equipment. Collaborate with engineers, logisticians, and vendors to develop cost-effective obsolescence mitigation strategies. Generate and deliver configuration status reports to leadership and stakeholders. Update technical manuals, drawings, and other documents to reflect approved configuration changes. Serve as liaison between internal teams and external vendors to support DMSMS management. Use Navy-specific tools such as iPDM, CIDMS, Navy ERP, and MBPS DECKPLATE for data reconciliation and analysis. Required Qualifications: This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance

High school diploma or GED. 5+ years of experience in configuration management for Navy systems. Hands-on experience with Navy CM tools, including CDMD-OA and MBPS DECKPLATE. Experience pulling BOMs and performing configuration audits. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and management personnel. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience identifying, tracking, and resolving material shortages affecting Navy HM&E systems and equipment. Certifications such as PMP and/or DAWIA. Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
