You will often work as an individual contributor while managing a very small team that handles things like routine PPE Maintenance and basic level employee training.

What You'll Be Doing:
Ensure regulatory compliance in EHS while also driving continuous improvement in collaboration with various departments. They have a great safety culture but value keeping things fresh with improvements. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory bodies. (Title V air, waste, and water). Conduct EHS audits, risk assessments, and implement controls. Lead investigations into incidents and near misses with root cause analysis. Design and deliver site-wide EHS training programs. Manage emergency response plans and coordinate drills. Upgrade pollution control systems. Foster a proactive safety culture in collaboration with all departments. Improve ISO 14001/45001 programs and management systems. Track and report KPIs to senior leadership for driving continuous improvement. What You'll Bring to the Job:
B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related 7+ years of EHS experience in a chemical plant. Best with experience on a site operating under OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) standards (but this is not a PSM role). Expertise with ISO 14001/45001 systems and regulatory compliance. Experience interfacing with government agencies Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
