Client
Our client is a Series-D semiconductor innovator, specializing in programmable coherent DSP (digital signal processing) solutions for cloud and AI infrastructure, a foundational technology that enables faster and more efficient transmission within and between AI data centers. The firm is empowering the future of AI infrastructure and cloud connectivity with DSP innovations. The firm recently came out of stealth with $180MM funding and is backed by storied venture investors including Kleiner Perkins, Spark Capital, Mayfield and Fidelity Investments.
About The Position
We are looking for a senior algorithm engineer with a specialty in error correction codes (ECC) for the optical communication market.
As an Algorithm Engineer you will be part of the R&D group developing
next generation coherent optical transceivers for DCI with data rates of 800Gbps and 1600Gbps . You will design, simulate, and optimize error correction codes algorithms. You will interact with many different teams such as: System, VLSI, Design Verification and FW.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and simulate ECC architectures, define key capabilities, performance requirements and drive specifications for digital and firmware designers. Develop and simulate ECC algorithms and integrate these algorithms with the MODEM simulation. Work with designers to ensure circuit architecture can be efficiently implemented. Participate in cross-functional teams with digital and firmware designers for bring-up and validation/optimization activities.
Requirements
5 years or more of hands-on experience and a well proven record of ECC algorithms development
Fixed point design and programming in MATLAB and C
Strong understanding of System and HW implementation restrictions (from MATLAB to RTL)
Hands on Lab experience (algorithms debug and tuning)
