This service supports with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal) Sector clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of the Engagement Team Cadre to to support requirements for The Department of Energy (DOE), Hanford Site, Waste Treatment and Immobilization Project (WTP) Performance Assurance (WPA) Project. WTP Performance Assurance Support Consultant - GSSC Candidates shall work to support requirements for PR0099B FY22SB02 WTP Performance Assurance Support Services Swim Lanes: Perform quality assurance consulting services in support to major WTP project & program needs, focusing on special activities, and identified problems areas. Consult and mentor line management oversight needs for WTP by direct observation and involvement in activities such as quality assurance reviews, system walk-downs, inspections, or surveys. Provide specialized knowledge & expertise for oversight and evaluation of quality assurance requirements associated with PMI, commercial-grade dedication, and upgrading WTP existing structures, systems and components from non-safety to safety-significant to support EPC completion of DFLAW, and construction of HLW. Participate in workshops and perform reviews of engineering and procurement documents to establish and improve reasonable assurance that existing SSCs can meet newly established nuclear safety functions and functional requirements from a quality assurance perspective. Assist ORP quality assurance, nuclear safety, and engineering staff with the interpretation of nuclear quality assurance requirements. Provide a qualified resource who can offer expert consulting services in support of quality assurance (QA) activities that pertain to verification of WTP DFLAW and HLW engineering, procurement, and construction activities; and . Support of engineering and quality assurance (QA) activities that pertain to WTP work scope. Provide supplementary support in performing Real-Time Field Surveillances of BNIs field activities. DELIVERABLES Attend meetings as directed in support of the WPA Manager or his delegate as an expert witness to the QA implementation process. Attend QA, Construction Turnover to Startup, and other meetings as determined by WPA if needed. Provide mentorship to WTP line management oversight of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) turnover processes with the intent to ensure valuable time is not wasted on the loss of process or focus. Meet on a regular (usually weekly) basis with the WPA Director or his delegate to review daily performance and progress. Provide review comments for in-process and formal line management oversight of QA, CGD, CTO (or other processes as required) submitted by BNI as needed. Comments may be documented on RCR forms. Prepare, conduct and organize WPA OA's, surveillances, and audits. Document results in accordance with ORP procedures. Qualifications
The WTP Performance Assurance Support Consultant - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management, or alternatively, an accredited high school certificate plus 8 years of specialized experience in engineering, science, or business management, in addition to the requisite experience. MS/MA or PhD degree in a relevant field is considered to be 2 and 5 years of experience, respectively. Experience Ten (10) years of directly applicable successful experience consulting or contributing to complex projects, including providing strategic, management, technical, or business assistance to significant projects or programs in a senior capacity and/or as a consultant. Knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities preferred. Extensive background in verbal communication, written products, and team interactions. Effective verbal and written communication skills, customer service skills, and work relationships. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other automation tools. Ability to independently perform multiple tasks with dynamic priorities. Ability to create various types of performance status reports. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
