Title: Database Administrator(SQL/Oracle) Duration:11 Months Pay range: $57-$58/hr on W2

Job Description: This position is for a database administrator with 10+ Years of expertise in both Oracle & SQL Server RDBMS administration including Shell Scripting

1. Database Architecture, Design & Build both Oracle & SQL Server

2. Cloud Platforms (AWS & Azure) Deep knowledge of deploying, managing, and monitoring Oracle databases on AWS and Azure. Configuring and managing AWS RDS, EC2-based Oracle databases, Azure SQL/Oracle on IaaS/VMs. Performance assessments and optimization specific to cloud-hosted databases. Integration with AWS CloudWatch and Azure Monitor for proactive alerting and system health. Management of storage (EBS, Azure Disks), NACL, and Security Groups (SGs) across cloud platforms.

3. Backup, Recovery, and High Availability both Oracle & SQL Server

4. Performance Management & Tuning Advanced performance tuning of database systems, deeper skillsets on troubleshooting IO,CPU & any other bottlenecks. Monitoring wait events, AWR/ASH reports, and optimizing resource utilization. Indexing strategies, plan baselines, and tuning of long-running jobs.

5. Troubleshooting & Support Advanced troubleshooting for node evictions, cluster interconnect issues, and configuration problems. Handling connectivity and failover issues in multi-node environments.

6. Database Upgrades, Patching & Migrations Planning and executing Oracle version upgrades and quarterly patching (PSU/CPU/RU). Migrating databases across platforms (on-prem to cloud, cloud-to-cloud). Zero/minimal downtime strategies using Data Guard switchover/failover or GoldenGate.

9. Stakeholder & Team Management Interacting with application teams to understand business workflows and data requirements. Leading client calls and serving as the primary technical contact for DBA-related queries. Managing L1, L2 escalations and coordinating resolution efforts. Creating and maintaining knowledge base documentation and SOPs.

10. Project & Capacity Management Capacity planning including CPU, memory, storage, and IOPS forecasting. Tracking, managing, and reporting on database-related project progress. Comments for Suppliers:
