Job Title

This leadership and supervisory position is responsible for the oversight of the water and sewer field operations, specifically supervising the Utility Service Technicians I, II and III. Essential Job Functions

Examples of essential job functions include assigning and assisting in completing work orders for the Water and Sewer Department based upon priority, weather conditions and available staffing; monitoring activities of field employees to assist in the preparation of performance evaluations; supervising and assisting in the maintenance, repair and installation of City water and sewer mains, installation and repair of new water and sewer services; supervising and assisting in the maintenance and installation of fire hydrants, valves and fittings; supervising and assisting in the installation of gravity sewer mains, laterals and manholes; supervising and assisting in the installation and maintenance of sewer pump stations and force mains; assisting in monitoring control and maintenance of the inventory supply room; reviewing all departmental safety bulletins and safety materials provided by manufacturers, OSHA, other agencies as well as the City of Belleview's Safety Committee; reviewing safety policy and procedures with Water and Sewer employees; wearing all required safety equipment and ensuring that all safety procedures are followed; completing reports for employee activity, inventory control and equipment and vehicle maintenance; monitoring SCADA system; supervising and assisting in the setup of Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) when required; temporarily filling in for Field Operations Manager in their absence. Minimum Qualifications

1. Must possess a high school diploma or GED. 2. Four year's City water and sewer experience; or 4 years general w/s operations experience; or 4 years plumbing installation experience; or 4 years underground utilities construction experience; or any combination thereof. Professional Licenses/Certifications: 1. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License, Class B CDL. 2. Must possess and keep current a State of Florida, Class 2 Water Distribution System Operator's Certificate. 3. Must possess and keep current a State of Florida Department of Transportation Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certificate. Supplemental Information

Residency requirements: No residency requirement. However, must live within 15 miles or 30 minutes of the Public Works office. Safety equipment: Supplied with and required to use cones, barricades, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, hard hat, traffic safety vest, safety glasses, ear protectors (earmuffs or plugs) and gloves, back support belt and other protective garments. Toe reinforced and puncture proof footwear is required, and the cost is reimbursed in accordance with city policy.
