The Master Scheduler drives mid-range capacity planning ensuring optimal machine and labor utilization. This role owns the production calendar, Bill of Resources (BOR), and work center capacity, proactively balancing workloads to maximize service levels and efficiency. As a key player in the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process, the Master Scheduler maintains planning data integrity for Global Order Promising (GOP), updates production lead times, and develops mitigation strategies for capacity constraints, including offloading and outsourcing in collaboration with the S&OP supply chain analyst.
This role is a strategic leader, mentor, and subject matter expert, shaping Panduit's end-to-end supply chain with high-level planning and operational impact!
What You Will Do
S&OP (Supply Planning) :
Evaluate supply chain readiness to meet demand and recommend mid-term capacity adjustments. Conduct Rough Cut Capacity Planning and advise stakeholders on capacity shifts, outsourcing, or insourcing. Collaborate with Supply Chain Analysts on long-range constraint mitigation.
Master Scheduling :
Align workloads with capacity thresholds through daily work order creation and exception management. Maintain accurate production calendars, resource units, shifts, and utilization metrics. Flag critical materials and resources within the Bill of Resources and Manufacturing Work Definitions. Set and manage Planning Time Fences for all items. Partner with Global Supply Chain Analysts to synchronize supply, demand, and capacity across the network.
Master Data & Planning Attributes:
Ensure planning master data is current and accurate for Global Order Promising (GOP), including headcount, resource capacity, calendars, and critical materials. Update Planning Time Fences as needed.
S&OE:
Escalate short- to mid-term capacity constraints and propose actionable solutions. Recommend internal, inter-plant, and external workload rebalancing.
What You Will Bring
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Suppl Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field. Certifications:
APICS or CSCP a plus. Experience : 7+ years in a production scheduler/planner role with Make to Order experience. Systems : Experience with ERP Production Planning (Oracle, SAP, JDA, E3, or AWR) and Microsoft Excel. What We Can Offer You
