Data Platform Infrastructure Engineer
About this Featured Opportunity: We are seeking a Data Platform Infrastructure Engineer skilled in AWS and Kubernetes to build and maintain the infrastructure powering our data platform. You'll ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of large-scale systems, developing tools and dashboards for monitoring and management. Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD is essential. You'll collaborate with engineering teams, and stakeholders to build, test and maintain robust data platforms.
The Opportunity for You: Manage and operate cloud infrastructure in AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and cost efficiency. Scale and maintain Kubernetes clusters, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workloads. Design and implement infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or Crossplane. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and infrastructure provisioning. Implement monitoring and observability using open-source tools such as Prometheus. Collaborate with data engineers, machine learning teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions. Provide infrastructure expertise and support to internal customers, explaining how systems are built and how they meet business objectives. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative development processes. Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis and resolution. Support AI/ML workflows and pipelines as needed. Key Success Factors:
8+ years of experience working with large scale infrastructure systems and cloud environments with strong Kubernetes experience.
Must have experience deploying & building on Kubernetes, with deep Kubernetes knowledge & comfort working in Kubernetes environments. Must have experience in
scaling and operating Kubernetes . Must have hands-on experience in
AWS
and knowledge in its ecosystem.
Programming, coding, and analytical background
Must have experience coding in
GoLang or Python
with strong fundamentals, system design, tools, and APIs. Infrastructure as Code
Experience with tools such as: Terraform, Crossplane, prometheus, and promQL
Excellent
communication skills
are a must, experience working with customers directly to explain how they would use the infrastructure to build solutions that meet their business goals.
Must have a proven ability to work in an agile environment, be flexible to adapt to changes. Very strong motivation & a desire to learn.
