Grants & Contracts Manager.
Role supports three core practice areas: Criminal Defense, Juvenile Rights, and Civil Legal Services. Reports to the Director of Finance and Grants Management and leads one of two grants & contracts teams. Responsibilities: Leadership & Supervision Lead and supervise a grants team, managing hiring, evaluations, scheduling, and training. Foster equity and inclusion in management practices. Act as a liaison across Finance, Legal Practices, and external funders. Oversee all aspects of grant billing, budget submissions/modifications, closeouts, and cash flow. Ensure compliance with city, state, federal, and private funder requirements. Prepare financial reports and projections; manage audits and receivables with the accounting team. Partner on process improvements, system upgrades, and compliance structures. Maintain strong, transparent relationships with funders and ensure timely submissions and collections. Use and help refine financial software systems (e.g., Financial Edge, Sage Intacct, Vena Solutions). Required: Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. 5+ years' experience in grants/contracts financial management. Familiarity with NYC/NY State government funding and regulations. Strong Excel and analytical skills; team leadership experience. Compensation:
$50/ Hour Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications . Seniority level
