Job Description Job Title: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift:

Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced PICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care for our pediatric patients during the night shift. The ideal candidate has charge experience and will work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU. Work effectively as a charge nurse, overseeing unit operations and staff assignments. Maintain patient safety and high standards of care in accordance with hospital policies. Collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Participate in patient education and discharge planning activities. Requirements:

Current RN license in West Virginia or Compact RN license (must be active to start). Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in pediatric critical care. Charge experience is required. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS are preferred. Experience with various pediatric nursing skills, including central lines, IV administration, and newborn care. Comfortable working within scope to meet facility needs, including floating to other units when required. Open to accommodating block schedule requests; please discuss during the interview. Type of Facility: Short-Term Acute Care, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, and Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Major teaching hospital; member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH). Charting System: Cerner, Accudose, SBAR. Additional Information:

No call requirement. Open to accommodating travel arrangements and requests accordingly. Orientation occurs every other week, with mandatory modules before starting.
