Job Description
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is looking for a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. The candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care to critically ill children. You will be responsible for managing and delivering care to pediatric patients with complex medical needs.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in the PICU environment. Monitor and titrate sedation and vasoactive drips under physician's orders. Assist with various procedures, including those for congenital heart program patients, DKA management, and respiratory care. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including pediatricians, residents, and advanced practice providers present 24/7. Coordinate care with respiratory therapy for the management of ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP. Supervise nursing aides, particularly during daytime shifts. Engage in self-scheduling while meeting unit needs. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Current certifications in BLS and PALS are required. Ability to read telemetry strips, with all patients monitored centrally. Valid RN license - willing to wait for licensing process as required. Why ARMStaffing?
