Duties and Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of experienced engineering staff, duties of this position include, but are not limited to, assisting in the operation and maintenance of all boilers, HVAC and related equipment, as well as general building maintenance. May, at times, need to assist with snow removal. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Minimum of a High School diploma, GED or trade school diploma, zero-one year of related experience and be an active member of the IOE, Local 399 Engineer apprentice program.

Qualifications

In addition to the minimum education/ experience requirements listed above, qualified candidates must have successfully completed a minimum of 4 operating engineer curriculum classes from an approved Local 399 training program. Must be able to work irregular hours if needed, to perform job requirements Must be able to work successfully with other trades to perform job duties. Preferred candidates would also have prior work experience in a university and research environment.

Must be a member of local 399 apprentice program. Computer Skills

Must have computer knowledge and proficiency. Must be proficient with MS Office software (Word and Excel)
