Job Summary
The Epic Willow Pharmacy Application Analyst Lead provides advanced technical support and leadership for complex clinical and pharmacy applications, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with organizational needs. This role leads application administration efforts for Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, Willow Inventory and Specialty Pharmacy modules. Coordinates team resources to analyze user needs, implement and optimize systems, and troubleshoot technical issues. The Pharmacy Analyst Lead provides mentorship and guidance to team members on complex challenges and subjects.
As a team leader, the Pharmacy Application Analyst Lead prioritizes tasks, manages work plans, and facilitates communication across teams to meet deadlines and resolve escalated issues. This position ensures seamless integration of applications with cross-functional systems and guides or leads projects or project tasks to successful completion.
Key responsibilities include performing expert-level system analysis, administration, and consulting, translating clinical and pharmacy workflows into system configurations, and conducting comprehensive testing for system updates and integrations. The role also involves monitoring system operations, maintaining data integrity, and staying informed about emerging technologies to support healthcare advancements.

Essential Job Functions Thorough understanding of workflows for multiple Epic Willow modules .
Collaborates with internal and external technical and end-user groups to ensure applications and third-party systems meet the organization's clinical and business needs
Maintains knowledge of new technical concepts and solutions and their application to healthcare; assists with implementation and support of third-party systems
Performs in-depth analysis of end-user department workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues related to design and build decisions
Conducts complex qualitative and quantitative analysis on data and information collected during application data collection/gathering
Converts/translates business and clinical functionalities into system configurations and validates workflows
Plans, prepares, and executes test scripts for application testing, new release testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing
Documents test results, design, change control, system problems, and internal procedures according to departmental standards
Provides technical application support, triage, and troubleshooting for complex applications; participates in on-call coverage for off-hours and application validation during scheduled downtimes
Monitors systems for data quality, efficiency, operation, and data integrity, and appropriately escalates issues/problems
Ensures all aspects of the application integrate with other cross-functional applications used by the organization
Experience
Proven experience in Epic Willow Pharmacy build, application support, triage, and troubleshooting
Certification in Willow Inventory and Willow Specialty Pharmacy preferred
Strong working knowledge of inpatient pharmacy, retail pharmacy, clinical, and/or specialty pharmacy workflows
Education
Bachelor's Degree for clinical and doctorate degree for pharmacy
Licensure/Certification
Certification in Epic Willow Inpatient or Willow Ambulatory at a minimum.
Valid Driver's License
Must satisfactorily complete required Epic certification testing
Must maintain Epic certifications

Superior analytical, problem-solving, research, and decision-making skills
Proven track record of academic and/or professional success
Knowledge of business or clinical processes and workflows
Strong communication, prioritization, and follow-up skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Proficiency in using a computer for tasks such as creating/evaluating workflow diagrams, testing, and creating documentation
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Reliable high-speed internet connection is required for all remote/hybrid positions. Must have access to stable Wi-Fi with sufficient bandwidth to support video conferencing, cloud-based tools, and other online work-related activities. A HIPAA-compliant work environment is required, including a secure workspace free from unauthorized access or interruptions, no use of public Wi-Fi unless connected through a secure company-provided VPN, and compliance with all applicable HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
