ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a

Senior Fuel Fabrication Engineer

for an innovative Nuclear Energy company. You will support the fabrication process development for reactor fuels and provide oversight for fuel supply. This would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in fuel fabrication looking to further their career in the nuclear industry. Plus, this is a remote opportunity with minimal travel up to 25%

Work with interdisciplinary team of engineers to ensure fuel that is fabricated meets the overall objectives. Provides technical guidance, planning, and iterative oversight for Type 1 fuel fabrication. Travels to company 's laboratory and/or other locations to meet with key stakeholders. Compose and review technical documents to support fuel fabrication process development and fuel supply planning. Supports alignment on technical issues, fuel fabrication facility design strategies, and implementation of licensing strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS • Degree of Science degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering • 20+ years of experience in hands-on nuclear fuel fabrication. • Experience with nuclear fuel injection casting is strongly preferred. • Experience with applying novel fuel fabrication techniques is preferred. • Experience with analysis techniques for fuel fabrication is preferred (ie SEM, ICP-MS, profilometry) • Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills. • Attention to detail and aspiration for technical excellence. • Possess ability to work on tasks that require a multi-disciplinary approach. • Experience interacting on nuclear methodology with the NRC under an ASME NQA-1 compliant QA environment preferred.
