Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) -OB/GYN - Postpartum/Mother Baby Unit Location: The George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC Shift: 12-hour Night Shift (3 x 12s AM/PM rotation) Contract Duration: 13 weeks Job Summary: We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses with postpartum/mother baby unit expertise to provide safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility policies and standards. This role requires a compassionate nurse who can offer professional leadership and support to the healthcare team while delivering patient-centered care to mothers and newborns following vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and gynecological surgeries. Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a fast-paced hospital environment. Ensure compliance with all applicable licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements. Provide professional leadership and collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care goals. Promote and uphold the principles of Patient Centered Care and Service Excellence standards. Perform patient care tasks in accordance with hospital policies and best practices. Monitor patients and respond to their needs, including emergency interventions when necessary. Qualifications: Current RN license to practice in the state/district of Washington, DC (required). Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred, specifically in postpartum/mother baby care (required). Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program (required).
