Job Description:
Our client is seeking a
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
to provide restorative and rehabilitative services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will work in both center-based and home settings to help participants maximize independence, safety, and functional ability, while collaborating with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement care plans.
Essential Job Duties: Administer treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist. Assist with vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing. Coordinate with rehabilitation team members to carry out individualized treatment plans. Handle scheduling of treatments, clinical visits, and billing. Deliver and document interventions including active/passive exercise, gait training, ADL functional training, and treatments such as massage, heat, ultrasound, hydrotherapy, or electrical stimulation. Participate in end-of-life care coordination as needed. Job Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program. Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license, or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state. Degrees earned outside the U.S. must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency. Minimum of 2 years of PTA experience in a clinical setting; experience with frail or elderly populations preferred.
