Job Description: CLEARANCE TYPE: No WORK SHIFT: 1st Shift (9/80A) - every other Friday off but OT may result in working off-Friday's or weekends as needed). * Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
Responsibilities: • Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. • Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. • Uses hand and power tools. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment. • Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. • Provide management support, boiler familiarity, understanding and working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and building alarm systems.
Basic Qualifications for Mechanical Technician: • Provide management support, boiler familiarity, understanding and working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and building alarm systems.
Preferred Qualification for Mechanical Technician: College experience is a plus, not required.
