About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Industrial Engineer to join our distribution operations team. This role will be instrumental in driving continuous process improvement and facility optimization efforts to ensure Waldom remains at the forefront of distribution excellence. The ideal candidate will combine analytical expertise with hands-on problem-solving to optimize warehouse layouts, improve workflows, and support innovation in automation and material handling.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze current distribution workflows, facility layouts, and material-handling processes to identify and implement improvements. Design and execute solutions to optimize space utilization, labor productivity, throughput, and cost efficiency. Lead time studies, workflow simulations, and data-driven analyses that guide operational decision-making. Partner with cross-functional teams-including Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and Facilities-to design and implement process improvements. Support the evaluation, testing, and integration of automation, warehouse management systems (WMS), and material-handling technologies. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability. Measure and report on the impact of process changes using key performance metrics. Participate in Lean/Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to long-term distribution network design and capacity planning efforts. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in industrial engineering, preferably within a distribution, logistics, or supply chain environment. Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel, SQL, or workflow simulation tools. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of facility layout design and material-handling systems. Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other layout/facility design tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Preferred Skills

Experience with WMS, ERP, or automation technologies in a distribution environment. Project management experience leading process improvement or facility optimization initiatives. Why Waldom?
