ABOUT THIS ROLE:

The IT Technician is responsible for, but not limited to:

1) Day to day maintenance, documentation, troubleshooting, and monitoring of information systems.

2) Providing Help Desk support to all end users.

a) Answering, evaluating, and prioritizing requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.

b) Logging and tracking requests using help desk software, maintains history records, and related problem documentation.

3) Handling problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up, referring more complex problems to Director of Information Technology.

4) Installing, documenting, inventorying, maintaining, and troubleshooting all information technology assets including but not limited to:

a) Hardware: personal computers, servers, printers, personal digital assistants, etc.

b) Application software products.

c) Server and personal computer operating system software.

d) Data backup and redundancy.

5) Maintaining current knowledge and skills through research and self-paced CBT's.

6) Participating in maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work environment.

7) Abiding by the strict confidentiality policy of Callaway Gardens.

8) Self-discipline the ability to prioritize tasks, and a detail-oriented working style.

9) Ability to learn from experience and informal/formal instruction.

Qualification Summary

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in hotel or related field helpful.

Must have a valid driver's license from appropriate state. (may need if they drive)
