Job Description
The Quality Engineer (Aerospace) will be responsible for:
Develop and edit CMM programs using PC-DMIS and MCOSMOS for precision-machined components. Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to define accurate inspection strategies. Perform and validate dimensional inspections to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards. Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R studies to validate inspection processes. Create and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, inspection plans, FAI, and PPAP. Apply GD&T principles and inspection methodologies effectively across various components and assemblies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, machining, and quality personnel. Utilize appropriate fixturing and tooling for consistent, repeatable measurement setups. Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management system requirements. Review and verify inspection results for accuracy and completeness. Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis for quality-related issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies. The Successful Applicant
A successful Quality Engineer should have:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in CMM programming using PC-DMIS and MCOSMOS. Strong proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T standards. Proven background in quality inspection and assurance within a manufacturing environment. Experience with Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R studies. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems. Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or SPC for measurement data interpretation. Ability to develop and maintain quality documentation including control plans, FAI, and PPAP. Skilled in selecting and setting up appropriate fixturing and tooling for inspection processes. Strong blueprint reading and inspection methodology skills. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Must be a U.S. citizen. What's on Offer
