Electrical Automation Technician - Bethune, SC

Olsten Staffing is seeking an

experienced Electrical Automation Technician

for a leading manufacturing facility in the Bethune, SC area.

Pay:

$30.46 - $39.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

8:00 PM - 8:00 AM (training will be on 1st shift)

Position Overview

In this role, you'll partner with operations to keep all equipment running at peak performance. You'll troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and systems, using a combination of electrical and mechanical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues in power distribution, electrical equipment, and lighting systems.

Install, maintain, repair, calibrate, and test electrical, electronic, and pneumatic instruments.

Service motors, starters, controllers, and other control/communication equipment.

Perform basic mechanical tasks such as lubricating, cleaning, aligning, and replacing components.

Select and install wiring, conduit, switches, breakers, and fuses.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.

Follow and maintain all safety standards (HAZMAT, MSDS, NFPA 70/70E, ZES, IES, ISO, PM).

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and aerial lifts as needed.

Contact vendors for technical support and parts when required.

Work from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and in confined spaces.

Qualifications

Certification plus

5+ years of maintenance experience

, OR an Associate's degree in a related field.

Must meet

WorkKeys assessment

requirements for Electrical Technician.

Experience with

electrical systems up to 480 volts

(exposure to 12,470 volts preferred).

PLC troubleshooting required; Allen-Bradley programming a plus.

Knowledge of control networks and operator interfaces (iFIX experience a plus).

Strong computer skills, including CMMS (MP2) and Excel.

Manufacturing experience preferred (especially carding, lamination, web handling, and nonwovens).

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with lifting equipment for heavier parts).

Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial lift certifications.

Flexible availability; ability to work independently or as a team leader.

Pay Details:

$29.58 per hour
