Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery - $2,954 per week in Tracy, CA

Job Title: Obstetrics Acute RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (provider), Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Must be comfortable with baby and delivered mother Description: Local BR differs. Candidates should possess a California RN license. BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are required. Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification is mandatory. Candidates must be comfortable working with both the baby and the delivered mother. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with charting systems, particularly Epic, is preferred. Candidates should be able to administer blood and blood products, anticonvulsants, and antihypertensives. Knowledge of APGAR scores is essential. Candidates should assist with vaginal deliveries and manage bladder distension. Skills in circulating for C-sections and administering epidural anesthesia are required. Candidates should be able to provide care for fundus, lochia, and perineum. Knowledge of ID/security banding and isolation precautions is necessary. Candidates must be familiar with magnesium sulfate therapy and pain assessment/management. Skills in administering Pitocin and managing pregnancy-induced hypertension are required. Candidates should be able to recover C-sections and start/maintain peripheral IVs. Candidates must also perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients. Experience with external fetal heart monitoring is necessary. Candidates should know how to operate infusion pumps and PCA. Weekend coverage is required. Modules will be completed during orientation; the time spent on modules will vary by specialty.
