Material Handler (Grades 4 - 6) Read Street, Portland, ME

Working as a Material Handler, you will operate forklifts, tractors and other pieces of equipment involved in the movement, storage and handling of all material associated with construction and service of a ship.

This is a mid-level Material Handler position. Applicants may be assigned any Material Handler trade tasks, but will initially be assigned to operate equipment including (but not limited to):

Receive/issue material at Warehouses and Facilities

Maintain accurate inventory

Operate forklifts

Operate barcode scanners

Operate hand tools (Banders, etc.)

Pay range for this position is $28.39/hr. - $29.48/hr.

Location: Read St. (Portland)

Required/Preferred Education/Training

At least one year of forklift experience required.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Required/Preferred Experience

Basic computer skills and use of barcode scanners.

Must meet the requirements of the Material Handler physical task analysis, to include climbing stairs and ladders.
