"Big Brother" Volunteers for Community-Based Big Brothers Big Sisters Program

NEEDED! Volunteers for Community-Based Big Brothers Big Sisters Program: Big Brothers Big Sisters seeks to change the lives of children for the better, forever. Our unique brand of one-to-one mentoring matches a child with a caring adult mentor in a relationship supported by professional Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members. Matches share everyday activities, such as eating out, playing or attending sporting events, going to a movie, sightseeing and so on. Big Brothers Big Sisters asks our volunteers to make a commitment to a child for one year, spending at least 6 hours a month with their "Little". All our volunteers and anyone over the age of 18 living in their household must undergo a criminal background check, provide three personal or professional references, attend an orientation session and be interviewed in their home.
