JBBBS offers two main programs that deliver on this life-changing impact The Mentorship Program and The Friend 2 Friend Program. The Mentorship Program

pairs children and teenagers with Volunteer Bigs who provide role modeling, encouragement, and mentorship. This support extends to the whole family, offering financial assistance, referrals to social service agencies, and holiday programming. Each year, JBBBS also awards scholarships for both camp and college to support our current and former Littles. The Friend 2 Friend Program

pairs adults with disabilities with Volunteer Friends who offer companionship and friendship. These programs aim to foster a sense of community with a focus on Jewish programming. The success of JBBBS' matches relies on the dedication and hard work of our volunteers. Each match is supported by clinical match specialists who ensure that the needs of the entire family are met. The Clinical Match Specialist (CMS)

for the childrens program will be an integral member of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS) Childrens Team. The CMS will provide oversight and clinical case management of matches between Bigs, Littles and Caregivers. The CMS will also be responsible for conducting intake interviews for both volunteers and children/families.The CMS will report to the Vice President of Mentorship and collaborate with other members of the JBBBS staff. This is a 35 hour per week hybrid position. The ideal applicant will possess strong organizational, relational, and administrative skills with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others. Summary: The

Clinical Match Specialist (CMS) in our Childrens Mentorship Program

is responsible for interviewing, assessing, matching and supporting the matches in the one-to-one mentorship program. The CMS will ensure safety, promote positive impacts, foster constructive and satisfying relationships and cultivate a strong sense of affiliation with Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston. Responsibilities: Enrollment and Assessment: Prepare written assessments and recommendations based on interviews of volunteers and children/families. Match Support: Maintain and support a caseload of 50 matches. Create safe and appropriate match relationships based on a current pool of volunteers and children. Conduct Match Introduction Meetings for new matches, match intervention meetings, and other meetings as needed with match parties. Conduct regularly scheduled and timely Match Support contacts (either in person or through phone or electronic contact) with the volunteers, children and families/guardians in order to ascertain that the elements of child safety, match relationship development, positive youth development and volunteer satisfaction are fulfilled. Identify and address potential problems and barriers as early as possible. Document comprehensive written summaries of all match support contacts in real-time, web-based contact management software, in order to comply with BBBS standards. Monitor and meet metrics for enrollment and match support goals for length and customer satisfaction. Conduct exit interviews with all parties at match closure. Assess reasons for match closure and re-match/re-engagement potential and conduct re-assessments accordingly. Maintain accurate files and documentation on all volunteers (including updated contacts) and children. Conducts and utilizes organizational surveys with volunteers and children to determine childs growth in the program. Other: Potential co-facilitation of group work including program specific support groups as needed. Participates and plans events for programs. Support additional projects, as determined in collaboration with supervisor (e.g., mentor training, constituent newsletters, community events, client outreach etc.). Collaborate and share information and resources with other agency staff and management. Work closely with Volunteer Outreach to help with events and provide updated information on what is needed for volunteers. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position. Qualifications Include: Master's degree in social services, human services or related field preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with children in a social services environment, and/or understanding of child development and family dynamics. Assessment, case management and/or relationship development experience with child and adult populations (and preferably with volunteers as well). Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and sensitively with confidential information. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work both in a team and independently, to exercise good judgment, make sound decisions, and problem solve. Collaborative workstyle with strong interpersonal skills. A strong commitment to quality and results. Strong computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based applications. Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, state-required auto insurance minimums and willingness to travel as necessitated by job responsibilities. Ability and willingness to flex work hours for program events or meeting with constituents on weekends or weeknight evenings. Physical Requirements and Working Environment: Required to sit at a workstation/computer for extended periods of time and keyboard forprolonged periods of time; ability to perform repetitive motion tasks. This role is performed in a hybrid remote/ office environment. The noise level in this setting is usually quiet to moderate (i.e., business office with computers, phones, and printers, etc.).Office space is shared with some shared offices and/or shared desk spaces. Working some nights and weekends is anticipated.No work travel is anticipated.
