An industry-leading inspection machinery manufacturer is seeking to add a talented Field Service Engineer to their service team. This is a fantastic opportunity to represent a renowned name in inspection equipment for the food and pharmaceutical industries, delivering high-quality solutions to customers across the UK.\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nAs a Field Service Engineer, you will be the go-to technical expert for installations, servicing, and repairs of advanced inline inspection equipment within the food and pharmactical indisty . This role involves working directly with customers to ensure their systems operate at peak performance, delivering exceptional support and training when needed.
The position requires an Electrical/Electronics qualification (ONC minimum), ideally with experience in a field-based role.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Install, calibrate, and repair inspection equipment at customer sites.\n\n * Provide on-site training and technical support via phone or email.\n\n * Conduct equipment upgrades and refurbishments.\n\n * Address customer queries professionally and efficiently.\n\n * Complete all documentation accurately and promptly.\n\n * Follow health and safety regulations at each site.\n\n * Participate in an on-call standby rota and work overtime as required.\n\nCandidate Profile:\n\n * Technical Skills: Strong electrical/electronics engineering knowledge. PLC programming and PC hardware experience is a bonus.\n\n * Qualifications: Minimum BTEC/ONC/HNC or similar in electromechanical/electrical engineering.\n\n * Experience: Prior field service experience is highly desirable, particularly in commissioning, servicing, or repairs within the food industry\n\n * Attributes: Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills. Flexible, reliable, and customer-focused.\n\n * Requirements: Full UK driving license and willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays.\n\nLocation: Cambridgeshire / Northampton\n\nBasic salary £35,000 - £38,000 OTE to £60,000 including bonus and overtime with company car or van
