5 days/week | 8-hour shifts | On-call required Position Summary

The PACU RN provides safe, high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery. This includes monitoring vital signs, managing drips, recovering intubated patients, educating patients/families, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe transitions of care. Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in the PACU using evidence-based nursing practices. Monitor, assess, and manage post-op patients, including those on medicated drips. Recover and manage intubated patients following surgery. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members for patient care planning. Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and ongoing care needs. Document care accurately in EPIC (preferred). Participate in unit operations including throughput and charge nurse duties as assigned. Uphold quality, safety, and patient experience standards. Requirements

Current

NYS RN License BLS

and

ACLS

certification Minimum

2 years of RN experience

(PACU/post-op preferred) 2 years of experience

with post-op management and medicated drips Travel RN experience

preferred (not required for per diem) EPIC EMR

experience preferred BSN preferred (Associate’s degree accepted with experience/BSN enrollment) Unit Details
