SUMMARY OF JOB

The Inventory Control Clerk supports the Inventory & Support Systems Manager by performing daily material handling, receiving, and warehouse organization tasks. This role ensures accurate documentation of deliveries, timely distribution of materials, and safe handling of chemicals, spare parts, and consumables. The position provides hands-on support for both chemical inventory and maintenance parts organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform daily inventory counts, reconciliations, and maintain organized storage for chemicals, spare parts, and consumables. Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments (chemicals, spare parts, general supplies). Verify deliveries against documentation and report discrepancies. Deliver packages and materials to internal departments. Maintain warehouse organization, including chemical and maintenance storage areas; consolidate and restock items as needed. Ensure proper labeling and tracking of maintenance items to support reliability and repair activities. Handle chemical deliveries: paperwork, Certificates of Analysis, safe labeling, and storage. Safely operate forklift and other material-handling equipment. Assist with HazWaste pickups and movement of empty skids/containers. Complete routine paperwork, purchase order confirmations, and data entry. Log issues such as misdelivered packages or maintenance requests. Support 5S and Lean initiatives in all storage areas, including chemical warehouse, parts cage, and mezzanine. Participate in daily huddles and communicate operational issues to the Manager. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent; prior warehouse/inventory experience preferred. Forklift certification (or ability to obtain). Ability to safely handle chemicals and follow EHS requirements. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, inventory systems). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to dangerous chemicals, including exposure to fumes or airborne particles below OSHA permissible limits. Frequently exposed to high heat and humid conditions. Employee will be frequently exposed to loud sounds, below the OSHA permissible limits.
