Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity is available for a
Field Service Engineer
to support cutting-edge Single Pass Inkjet press technology used in the corrugated market. This role plays a vital part in providing exceptional technical support and ensuring optimal equipment performance at customer sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, customer training, and overall equipment service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support Install machinery through to full production acceptance in collaboration with HQ. Support production ramp-up and train machine operators. Update Technical Support and internal teams on customer interventions. Manage spare parts and returns efficiently. Customer Experience
Maintain professional, proactive communication with customers. Understand client needs and resolve technical issues promptly. Ensure work sites are left in better condition than when arrived. Administration & Documentation
Maintain detailed activity logs and service records. Submit accurate daily timecards. Commit to ongoing technical development and complete required training modules (e.g., Litmos). Participate in both domestic and international training, including programs at headquarters in Belgium. Travel & Expenses
Book travel proactively for cost-efficiency. Submit expense reports promptly, typically by the following Monday after travel. Other Duties
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. 2-5 years of experience in break/fix, electrical/mechanical repair. Prior experience with
machine installation
and
industrial inkjet or prepress technology
is highly desirable. Ability to travel occasionally (domestically/internationally) and work flexible hours, including some weekends. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet-based applications. Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, navigating tight spaces, and standing for extended periods. Must hold a valid Driver's License. Ideal Candidate Profile:
Hands-on experience with major equipment installation and service. Independent, self-motivated worker comfortable working without direct supervision. Background in industrial inkjet systems, prepress, or experience with companies like Client, EFI, Barberan, Fujifilm, AGFA, Konica Minolta, or Canon is a strong plus.
