Your Role as an Associate Veterinarian:
We are currently seeking an
experienced Associate Veterinarian
with strong surgical skills to join our dedicated and compassionate team. This role offers a dynamic mix of general practice and urgent care cases, giving you the opportunity to utilize your full range of medical and surgical skills in a supportive environment. You will work closely with our experienced support staff and fellow veterinarians to provide high-quality, personalized care to our patients and their families. We are seeking a DVM who is available to work
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday , with the flexibility to potentially work Saturdays should our hospital hours expand in the future.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, confident in their surgical and diagnostic abilities, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. A Kentucky veterinary license (or the ability to obtain one) is required.

Our hospital features four exam rooms and is equipped with an ultrasound unit with both linear and microconvex probes. Our in-house diagnostics include a Catalyst One and Sedivue analyzer, and we also utilize a Tonopen for intraocular pressure measurements.

Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems Treat and dress wounds Perform surgery on animals Test for and vaccinate against diseases Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments Prescribe medication Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal Strong fondness and understanding of animals Good communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of animal behavior Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
