Join Our Team in the Hepatobiliary Disease Clinic
At St. Luke's, our Certified Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses are vital partners in delivering exceptional, compassionate care. This unique role offers the opportunity to work closely in a 1:1 support model with a dedicated provider, while also assisting our Utah-based team a few times a week. It's a perfect fit for someone who thrives in a more independent role, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and brings initiative and efficiency to their day-to-day work.
What You Can Expect in This Role:
Consistent schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., supporting one dedicated PA and assisting the Utah-based team a few times per week
Patient care & clinic flow:
Room patients, reconcile medications and allergies, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Communication & coordination:
Triage phone calls, manage in-basket messages, answer calls, and coordinate follow-up appointments and imaging referrals
Administrative support:
Route and scan faxes, monitor Smart Board tasks, and assist with other clerical duties as needed
Independent work style:
Operate with a high level of autonomy, manage time effectively, and proactively seek out tasks during downtime
CMA Qualifications:
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications
Current BLS-CPR Certification from the American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
Current recognized National Certification as a Medical Assistant from one of the following: NCCT, NAHP, AMT, AAMA, AMCA, or NHA
