At St. Luke’s, our Certified Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses are vital partners in delivering exceptional, compassionate care. This unique role offers the opportunity to work closely in a 1:1 support model with a dedicated provider, while also assisting our Utah-based team a few times a week. It’s a perfect fit for someone who thrives in a more independent role, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and brings initiative and efficiency to their day-to-day work.
What You Can Expect in This Role:
Consistent schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., supporting one dedicated PA and assisting the Utah-based team a few times per week
Patient care & clinic flow:
Room patients, reconcile medications and allergies, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Communication & coordination:
Triage phone calls, manage in-basket messages, answer calls, and coordinate follow-up appointments and imaging referrals
Administrative support:
Route and scan faxes, monitor Smart Board tasks, and assist with other clerical duties as needed
Independent work style:
Operate with a high level of autonomy, manage time effectively, and proactively seek out tasks during downtime
CMA Qualifications:
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications
Current BLS-CPR Certification from the American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
Current recognized National Certification as a Medical Assistant from one of the following: NCCT, NAHP, AMT, AAMA, AMCA, or NHA
