Job Summary
Wire Machine Systems, Inc. is seeking an
Industrial Wire Processing Equipment Field Specialist
to join our technical team. This role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of complex machinery used in the wire, cable, bar, and tube production industries. The position requires hands-on technical expertise, the ability to travel to customer sites, and a strong commitment to ensuring uptime and quality performance of advanced industrial systems.
Responsibilities
Install, commission, and service machinery at customer sites, including wire drawing machines, straighteners, shot blasting systems, peelers, and surface treatment equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and machine performance optimization.
Train customer staff in the safe and effective operation of WMS machinery.
Maintain detailed service records, documentation, and reports for client visits.
Coordinate with spare parts inventory and assist customers with ordering or replacement solutions.
Adhere to all safety protocols while working in industrial environments.
Travel regularly to domestic and occasional international client facilities.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training in Mechanical/Electrical Technology .
3+ years of experience in industrial machinery installation, maintenance, or field service.
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
Willingness to travel frequently for on-site service assignments.
Valid driver’s license; ability to lift/move heavy components.
Excellent communication skills and customer service focus.
