Pay Information $2,272 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year minimum License: Valid state license (or willing to participate in licensure project) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications Telemetry experience Charting experience with Cerner Description: This unit is a 54-bed cardiac telemetry unit. The majority of patients are on cardiac monitors. Patients are monitored remotely as well as closely on the unit. Cardiac drips may be administered. The patient population includes heart failure, heart attacks, strokes requiring monitoring, cardiac arrhythmias, and chest pain. Overflow medical patients may also be taken if needed. ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. The unit operates on a 1:6-8 staffing ratio. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend. Holiday requirements include working 2 out of 3 holidays. Travelers must live at least 50 miles away from the facility. Float to similar units may be required based on census needs. Candidates must not have worked on the unit for the past 3 years. Travelers are responsible for completing required modules prior to the start of their assignment.
