Prototyping Testing and Validation Engineer

Job Description
Manage shipping of completed battery packs to designated test facilities per customer requirements
Coordinate validation testing per DVP&R, Stellantis specifications, best practices, and field learnings under direction of the Battery Pack Chief Engineer
Ensure all required test specifications, procedures, battery packs, and supporting hardware (connectors, seals, plugs, etc.) are available on schedule to meet testing milestones
Review and approve test chamber setups, fixtures, and procedures at CTC, ARDC (Windsor, Ontario), and supplier facilities in Southeast Michigan and other locations
Track validation progress against plans and report status during program meetings
Support troubleshooting and resolution of issues during testing
Maintain accurate records for each validation test
Review, approve, and sign off final test reports; ensure results are filed with completed DVP&R documentation
Manage post-test property disposition, including teardown, inspection, or reuse decisions
Lead maintenance, development, and improvement of test procedures, Design Validation Plans (DV), and Process Validation Plans (PV) for EV battery product development
Provide on-site technical support as a resident engineer at supplier testing facilities
Investigate validation issues, perform root cause analysis, and support mitigation and corrective actions
Use CANalyzer and other diagnostic tools for battery control module integration
Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (DFSS, 8D, 5-Why, Fault Tree Analysis) in proactive and reactive activities
Lead root cause analysis to identify failure modes and recommend corrective actions
Conduct diagnostic testing and recreate failure modes observed during validation or warranty cases
Qualifications: Qualifications
Understanding of automotive Engine designs.
Knowledge of electronic bill of material systems, and CAD systems, preferably TeamCenter.
Knowledge of fasteners and torque.
Able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Understanding of Engine electronics.
Knowledge for the various tools to collect battery data and able plot data.
