We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support our welding operations by ensuring smooth material flow and communication throughout the production process. This role is essential for maintaining efficient workflow and minimizing downtime in our manufacturing environment. Transport finished weldments to subsequent production stages using forklifts and material handling equipment (e.g., paint booth, quality control, assembly) Safely operate various forklift types including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks as needed Coordinate with welders through walkie-talkie communication and visual systems (colored ribbon indicators) Deliver next job assignments to welders based on supervisor direction, ideally before current jobs are completed Transport materials between 2 facilities Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers using appropriate forklift equipment Requirements
Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience 1+ years of forklift operation experience in manufacturing environment Experience operating sit-down and very narrow aisle forklift Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles Experience with inventory management systems
