Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a Production Floor Material Handler in partnership with a prominent client in Binghamton, NY within a manufacturing setting.
Production Floor Material Handler
Job Summary: Pay: $17 - $18/ per hour Shift: 1 st or 2nd
Production Floor Material Handler
Responsibilities: Responsible for the pick- up and movement of material from one department to another to fulfill the daily and weekly product production needs. Physically move raw materials, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished goods from the production line to appropriate departments or storage areas. Ensure timely delivery of materials and components to workstations, minimizing production downtime. Retrieve completed products and transport them to the next processing area or designated storage zone. Follow production schedules or instructions to prioritize material flow between areas. Collaborate with production supervisors and team leads to understand movement needs and schedules. Assist with inventory tracking by reporting material movements and usage to inventory control personnel. Maintain accurate physical handling and labeling of materials in accordance with company procedures. Perform basic equipment checks prior to use and report any issues or safety concerns. Pull material to fulfil current order demand for specific departments. Performs other duties as assigned.
Production Floor Material Handler Qualifications and Requirements
High School Diploma/GED Previous experience in a manufacturing setting. Ability to lift, move, and transport materials. Basic understanding of material flow in a production environment. Comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced industrial setting. Ability to adapt to changing production needs and prioritize material handling tasks accordingly.
