Psych-ZSFG-Adult-AES Part Time 86179BR Job Summary Psychiatrists are needed to staff the San Francisco County Jail, which has a large number of patients in need of psychiatric care.
This clinician will have outpatient clinical responsibilities at the San Francisco County Jail treating a population that is largely seriously mentally ill. Patients under the care of this clinician have been found "incompetent to stand trial" by the criminal court and have been enrolled in the Early Access and Stabilization Services program under the purview of the CA Dept of State Hospitals. This clinician will see patients who are enrolled in the EASS program for weekly visits for medication management, and will work closely with a masters-level, DPH-employed, EASS clinician who is tasked with counseling these patients on restoration of competency to stand trial.
