MoveATech are recruiting an experienced and motivated

Electrical Hardware Design Engineer

to join our clients growing team based in

Bedford UK . This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about automation and control systems, and who wants to play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a variety of automation projects.

Based in Cranfield with hybrid working flexibility, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and engineering electrical hardware using

EPLAN

(versions 2022–2024). You will take

ownership of the electrical design process , producing detailed schematics, performing relevant engineering calculations, and preparing all associated documentation and bill of materials (BOMs). Your work will be vital in ensuring that projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

In addition to your core design responsibilities, you will be expected to generate export lists and contribute to the wider engineering documentation requirements. You'll collaborate with a talented and supportive team, sharing knowledge and contributing to the continuous improvement of our engineering processes.

We are looking for candidates with strong experience using

EPLAN , alongside a working knowledge of

AutoCAD

and Microsoft Office tools such as

Excel , Word, and PowerPoint. A relevant qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (BTEC Level 3 or equivalent) is essential, as is a valid UK driver’s licence.

This is a full-time role offering a salary between

£40,000 - £65,000 per annum . As an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer you will be working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week between the office in Bedford, the Customers site in Heathrow (2-3 days a week) and remotely.
