Overview: CPI is seeking a
Sr. Advanced Electrical Engineer
to support power system design and electrical hardware development for defense applications. This role requires expertise in analog and digital circuit design, VHDL hardware description, and troubleshooting of complex systems. You'll play a key role in integrating, testing, and advancing next-generation systems that deliver mission-critical capabilities to the Department of Defense.
Key Responsibilities: Design and analyze AC-DC and DC-DC power systems and power control. Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware. Design and develop analog circuits, including amplifiers, filters, power supplies, and signal conditioning circuits. Develop and implement VHDL code for hardware description and design. Design and troubleshoot high-speed digital circuits and systems. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
plus 8+ years of experience , or Master's degree plus 6 years. Ability to obtain and maintain a
DoD Secret clearance
within a reasonable period of time. U.S. Citizenship required. Strong background in power system design, analog circuit development, and high-speed digital design. Experience in hardware integration, troubleshooting, and system verification. Preferred Skills:
Expertise in DC/DC converters (buck, boost, LDO) and AC/DC design. Proficiency with communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet). Multilayer PCB design experience. Design of safety significant circuits. Proficiency in VHDL hardware description and design. Industry experience in automotive, medical, or defense sectors. What We Offer:
