Meditech EHR Estimated Weekly Salary:
$1950-$2100 Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred) Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience Telemetry monitoring experience preferred COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Ability to float to similar medical-surgical units Experience with Meditech charting system preferred Excellent communication and teamwork skills Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients, including those with ARF, pneumonia, COPD, GI bleeds, orthopedic, and post-surgical needs Monitor and interpret telemetry; provide rapid response/code team support Manage patients with continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tubes, and wound care Administer medications, blood products, IVs, central lines, and PICC lines Perform phlebotomy, manage surgical drains, chest tubes, and provide respiratory support (CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen therapy) Document patient care accurately using Meditech EHR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services Maintain infection control and isolation precautions Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process
