13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 - End: 1/5/2026) Shift:
Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00) Shifts per week:
3 Hours per Week:
36 Patient Population:
Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics Unit Details:
11 rooms plus 18 hallway beds for high census; average daily census of 130 visits Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Connecticut RN jobs) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Experience with general emergency department care for combined adult/pediatric populations Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs Experience with triage and Meditech charting system preferred COVID-19 vaccine required (+ booster); medical/religious exemptions considered ER Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of diagnoses, including chest pain, abdominal pain, orthopedic trauma, and more Rotate through triage assignments; may function as charge nurse when needed Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, initiate appropriate interventions Start and maintain intravenous lines and administer medications as ordered Document patient care accurately using Meditech Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
