Job Description

The Master Production Scheduler is responsible for developing the master production plan that satisfies customer demand while balancing internal manufacturing capacity. The qualified individual will be responsible for providing the plant with a weekly production plan while also managing long-term planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates a master production schedule that supports the organizations service and inventory targets while also partnering with the manufacturing site to create efficiencies

Partners with the Plant Scheduling team to align supply and demand signals and create capacity and component supported schedules

Identifies, resolves and finds root cause to planning issues by using appropriate problem-solving techniques for all areas of responsibility

Provides detail level communication of supply issues and deviations from the master schedule while ensuring resolution is communicated to appropriate areas of the supply chain

Participate in cross functional optimization sessions to drive efficiencies in the areas of plant productivity, inventory productivity, and capacity utilization

Participates as a key team member in cross-functional supply chain projects that support the Fortune Brands Innovations Blueprint

Manage inventory levels for SKU transitions, new products, and phase-outs to protect the customer and minimize excess inventory levels

Execute inventory reduction techniques to lower finished goods inventory to support the organizations DSI targets

Qualifications: Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business or equivalent work experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience in various functions of supply chain

Experience in Master Scheduling, Production Planning, or Material Planning

Knowledge and understanding of ERP systems and MRP

Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence and drive solutions across supply chain

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and establish relationships with all levels of the organization

Must be a team player with the ability to think conceptually, flexibly and a strong focus on execution.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $55,000 USD - $88,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
