Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting financial reporting, planning, and analysis processes. This individual will be a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, providing insights that drive financial performance, enhance profitability, and support business decision-making. This role involves managing financial planning cycles, conducting variance analysis, and providing key insights to leadership. The position may support one or multiple business units or functions. Location: Deerfield, IL – Hybrid. Responsibilities

Lead financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and variance analysis. Partner with business unit leadership and cross-functional teams to drive financial insights and improve decision-making. Analyze financial results, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business trends to provide actionable recommendations. Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including financial reporting, sales analysis, and expense reviews. Conduct financial modeling for strategic initiatives such as pricing strategies, new product development, customer contract negotiations, and investment opportunities. Provide financial guidance for sales, marketing, and operational functions, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost efficiencies. Assist in rebate calculations, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance reviews in collaboration with corporate accounting and audit teams. Develop and present financial reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to key stakeholders. Support M&A integration and process improvement initiatives to streamline finance operations. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and project support as needed. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or a related field. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerPoint, Word, and financial modeling. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work across various levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications: MBA, CPA, or CMA is a plus. Experience with financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, BPC, HFM, Essbase, or Tableau. Previous experience in sales finance, commercial finance, or supporting cross-functional teams. Compensation and Benefits

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 70,000 USD to 110,000 USD. Actual salaries may vary within the range based on education, training, experience, achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees may participate in an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
