Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This position is for a Maintenance Technician in a high-speed manufacturing facility. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all production equipment. The process includes extruding products through rollers, injecting chemicals, heating via an oven process, and utilizing robotic arms for maneuvering, stacking, and palletizing sheets ready for shipment. Daily tasks will include receiving work orders and responding to issues via radio.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems for production equipment.

Modify new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades.

Work with 110, 220, and 440 volt systems, AC/DC drives, high and low voltage controls.

Troubleshoot electrical problems to the component level.

Monitor gauges and pressures from chemical processes to ensure accuracy.

Repair conveyors, rollers, and other mechanical parts.

Work with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.

Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair, including gear replacements and adjustments.

Use blueprints and electrical schematics daily.

Replace or repair various motors, including AC/DC and single/three-phase motors.

Conduct preventive maintenance on all machines and equipment.

Execute full tear downs and rebuilds.

Troubleshoot and repair PLCs.

Essential Skills

Strong electrical and mechanical skills.

Consistent work history.

Familiarity with working with voltage up to 480V.

Experience in industrial manufacturing environments for over 5 years.

Ability to read schematics.

Experience with troubleshooting electrical issues and PLCs.

Proficiency in working with pneumatics and hydraulics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma; Technical School or higher education preferred.

Certifications in relevant technical fields.

Experience with pumps, blenders, and heavy equipment operation.

Exposure to machine shop operations including mills, lathes, and welding.

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with over 75 employees. A supportive team environment ensures effective communication and collaboration among maintenance staff.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Franklin Park, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.

Have a traditional dental, vision and life insurance policy, we pay 100% of short/long term insurance.

100% matching on 401K up to 3% and $.50 of every $1.00 for an additional 2%. Total 5% matching.
