Job Description

Boston West Veterinary Emergency and Specialty is seeking a Criticalist

to join our 24/7 Emergency and Specialty referral hospital in Natick, MA. We are looking for a talented, energetic, personable individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who will be a contributing member of our veterinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in helping to develop a Critical Care service to support our emergency department and collaborate with surgery and internal medicine.

Our hospitable culture thrives on teamwork and camaraderie, which naturally leads to delivering exceptional service to our patients, clients, and referring veterinarians.

Our Hospital

Boston West is an established 10,000-square foot open concept facility equipped with digital radiology, CT and ultrasound, and serves a large and busy group of referring veterinary practices. The hospital includes 2 surgical suites for orthopedic surgeries, soft tissue surgeries, minimally invasive procedures, emergency surgeries, and arthroscopic procedures. We perform advanced orthopedic procedures such as total hip replacements and joint resurfacing.

In addition to Emergency, we currently have specialists in Internal Medicine and Surgery available Monday through Friday. The hospital design supports collaboration, with a multi-specialty DVM office and an open floorplan that encourages daily interaction among services.

As part of Ethos Veterinary Health, our clinicians benefit from access to an in-network compounding pharmacy, research opportunities with Ethos Science and Discovery, and a comprehensive online library of veterinary journals and access to VetBloom.

Our Team

We are a talented, energetic, and loyal group focused on delivering exceptional patient care and client service. Our commitment to one another fosters a hospitable culture that values teamwork and camaraderie. This environment allows us to provide outstanding, empathetic service to clients, referring veterinarians, and the community.

We create opportunities for success through empowerment and a well-communicated vision. Our culture strives for excellence, is optimistic, collaborative, and supportive. Our staff enjoy an excellent working environment, competitive compensation, and growth opportunities at all levels.

Boston West is fortunate to have the support of a referral relationship manager and a marketing manager to help drive awareness of the Boston West brand, doctors, and services to both the referral and pet owner communities.

Schedule & Lifestyle

Our Critical Care doctors enjoy a balanced and flexible schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week and no overnight responsibilities.
