Landscape and Construction Estimator
Our client is an established Landscape Construction and Installation firm with extensive experience working on site development projects to include grading, drainage, landscape, masonry, retaining walls and other key outdoor features. They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Landscape Construction Estimator to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape construction and possess excellent analytical and mathematical skills. The Landscape Construction Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bids, and collaborating with project managers to ensure successful project execution by ordering materials on a per job basis .
Responsibilities: Project Cost Estimation: Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements. Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation. Utilize Aspire software and tools to calculate material, labor, and equipment costs. Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services. Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids for landscape construction projects for sales staff. Develop detailed and organized bid proposals outlining cost breakdowns and project timelines. Ensure bids are submitted on time and in compliance with project specifications. Work with the Desing team on plans take offs etc.. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and constraints. Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to gather necessary information for accurate estimates. Cost Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and identify any discrepancies between estimated and actual costs. Provide regular updates to management on cost projections and potential cost overruns. Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years in the industry or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field experience a plus. Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably in landscape construction and some carpentry knowledge. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices. Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, LMN landscape software programs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Benefits:
