Job Title: Analytical Chemist Job Description
We are seeking an analytical chemist to work on client projects, where you will qualify and develop methods for other chemists to perform. You will collaborate closely with technologies such as Chromatography, Mass-Spectrometry, and ICP-MS. Your role will involve identifying necessary tests, developing methods, and presenting these to the team and clients. Although not directly managing others, you will provide tasks and work instructions at a method level for client projects. Opportunities for training and development are available but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
Qualify and develop methods for client projects.
Identify required tests and develop execution methods.
Present methods and justifications to teams and clients.
Write work instructions for chemists from a method level.
Provide tasks to other chemists without direct management responsibilities.
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Essential Skills
Strong background in analytical chemistry.
Experience with Chromatography, Mass-Spectrometry, and ICP-MS.
Method validation and development expertise.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
Ability to work in a GMP environment and follow clear instructions.
Five years of experience in a QA or QC lab.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance or validation is a plus.
Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) considered but not required.
Strong report writing skills.
Work Environment
This role is based in an analytical lab that is a stand-alone building, away from other facility areas. The team consists of 6-8 chemists, operating in a cGMP site but not a Quality Control Lab. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with standard first shift hours and flexible times. The environment fosters innovation in chemistry, focusing on new pharmaceutical products that have yet to enter the market. Benefits include 10 days of PTO and 6 holidays.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
