RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking an IT Services Administrator - Patching.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the end-to-end patch management workflow, including patch synchronization, deployment scheduling, deployment ring configuration, and phased rollouts using MECM/SCCM and Intune Analyze compliance and vulnerability reports to assess patch status by device group, operating system version, and risk severity Track and report patch success/failure metrics, compliance rates, and exceptions; Identify trends and recommend corrective actions Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline patching processes, reduce operational effort, and accelerate time to compliance Develop and maintain patching schedules that balance risk reduction and minimal business disruption Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to validate and test critical patches prior to deployment Communicate patch-related plans, risks, and timelines to stakeholders across IT and business units Maintain patch documentation, standard operating procedures, and compliance artifacts for audit and regulatory purposes Stay informed on the latest Microsoft updates, vulnerability trends, and patching best practices
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration or endpoint management Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Microsoft Intune Proficiency in analyzing patch compliance data and identifying trends by system type, OS version, and risk level Deep understanding of Windows security patching and Microsoft update classifications (e.g., critical, security, cumulative) Knowledge of common pain points in enterprise patch cycles and experience implementing improvements Familiarity with deployment ring strategies, phased rollouts, and patch testing processes
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
