Lead Engineer

Position Summary: The Lead Engineer is responsible for supervising and performing maintenance tasks throughout the property, ensuring all systems and equipment are operating efficiently. This role includes hands-on work, team leadership, and coordination with other departments to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily maintenance operations and assign tasks to engineering staff. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests. Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems as needed. Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and brand standards. Assist with capital improvement projects and renovations. Train and mentor engineering team members. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred. Minimum 23 years of hotel or commercial building maintenance experience. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Leadership experience and ability to manage a small team. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and tools.
